Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Remarkable in this fragment is the possible reference to the consecration of a new temple in lines 5′-7′. The lower part apparently preserves the colophon, mentioning the town of Partiašša, the Storm god of which is treated in IBoT 2.103. The double paragraph line delimitating the colophon is ornamented with two Winkelhaken, a very rare feature in cult inventories.

5′-6′: On (para) talliya- “to lure” see Czyzewska 2012: 68-80.
